This is an emblematic structure for Eiffage Génie Civil, the contractor, and a real source of pride for all the teams who saw it come into being. It backs onto the Saut de Mouton de Bezons, which was built as part of the Eole project, with operations such as the 100-hour shifting of the famous "Bow-string".
The result of listening to local residents, this structure, reserved for non-motorised mobility, provides a new link for pedestrians and cyclists between the departments of Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine, and between the town of Bezons and the town of Nanterre, and is a perfect illustration of the low-carbon multimodal strategy that unites all the players in the Eole project.
The footbridge in figures :
- 377 m long
- 5 m wide
- 19 beam sections
- 5 main launching phases
- 2 cranes for the bank spans over the Seine: the largest package is approximately 40 m long and 6 m wide and weighs 130 tonnes
Thank you to SNCF Réseau for its confidence and congratulations to our teams for the work they did !
