The Lauterbourg teams mobilized on the Hinkley Point project
As part of the construction of the 3,200 MWe Hinkley Point power plant comprising two EPR reactors in Somerset, England, General Electric entrusted our teams in Lauterbourg with the hydraulic testing of the condenser water boxes.
Around ten employees were mobilized to prepare and assemble the boxes. Composed of 12 boxes of 15 t each, the system will contain 40 m³ of water per set of two boxes.
The first three sets will be delivered on site by the end of 2020 and the remainder by June 2021.
