With a length of 180 m and a width of 13 m, the bridge has two lanes, two cycle paths and two pavements - a way of creating a new dynamic in this very touristy part of the archipelago. It is now the largest composite girder bridge in the Pacific.
Comprising 2 piers in the sea - compared with 6 for the old bridge - this new sustainable structure helps to preserve the island's exceptional ecosystem.
This was a unique project for our teams, as the island of Ouvéa has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 2008.
Congratulations to the teams on site and to our teams in Lauterbourg (67) who shaped the metal caissons in our production plant.
