Eiffage Métal has installed the new downstream gate of the Méricourt lock (78)
Discover the timelapse of the installation of the new downstream lock gate at Méricourt in the Yvelines (78)! 60 km from Paris, to the north-west of Mantes-la-Jolie, our teams specialising in hydraulic activities, based in Le Havre, were involved in this atypical project.
The two 12 m high and 10 m wide gates weigh 80 tonnes each and were shipped in by river from Le Havre.
The next step is to connect the gates and test them in the dry, followed by the impounding of the lock before it is finally opened to navigation, scheduled for the end of May 2022.
Congratulations to our teams on site!
